Following our journey to discover and preserve the traditional art, we present you Dream Watch - the premium Japanese watch with the high-precision machinery, exquisite movement and true craftsmanship.

From fountain pens to wristwatches, once again, we are proud to support, connect and work with traditional artisans from all over Japan, in order to introduce valuable traditional arts to the world, through products that enhance life quality.

The Craftsmanship

Each watch dial is painted by our dedicated traditional craftsmen in Wajima and Echizen, Japan. Not only do we have the honor to work with Urushi masters from Taya Shikkiten (田谷漆器店) once again, but we also worked with artisans from Echizen - one of the first places that develop the technique of painting watch dial in Japan.

To explore further the craftsmanship behind these watch dials, you can visit our artisans' profiles here.

Embracing the idea of living in the moment, we want to create a watch that makes you immerse in the transformation of history and culture, as well as the graceful movement of the universe.
With the outstanding techniques and arts from famous homes of lacquers in Japan, we are proud to bring you the traditional art of Japan in the Dream Watch collection. This time, we present you the first two editions: Raden and Urushi

The Art of Dream Watch

Born in Wajima, Raden (螺鈿 - Mother-of-pearl inlay), is one of the techniques in Japanese lacquerware that apply inlays of natural pearl shells to decorate a base surface.

Every single step of this whole process is crafted with great care and attention to detail over a long course of time and by highly skilled artisans. From the smallest details, this small watch dial carries a vast history, traditional values, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Dream Watch - Urushi is another passionate take of our love toward this wonderful lacquer art. To complete an Urushi dial, it takes at least 4-6 months with a process of multiple complicated steps.

Only masters at Echizen with many years of experience are qualified for this entire process and are able to create a watch dial of a strict and high-quality standard.

Dream Watch - Urushi is another passionate take of our love toward this wonderful lacquer art. To complete an Urushi dial, it takes at least 4-6 months with a process of multiple complicated steps.

Only masters at Echizen with many years of experience are qualified for this entire process and are able to create a watch of a strict and high-quality standard.

The Material

All dials of the Dream Watch collection are crafted with  天然漆 (Tennnen Urushi) or Natural Japanese Urushi lacquer, which possesses a distinct rich and glossy finish. On top of that, the Raden on the Dream Watch - Raden is made from real abalone shells collected from the Japanese Sea.

Aiming to create a watch that can be passed down through generations, we decide to adopt the "MIYOTA 28800 vibration high beat movement" in this Dream Watch model.
Ranked among the top quality movements in the world, the MIYOTA movement possesses not only a high precision performance but also long durability

To showcase the beautiful lacquer of the watch dial, a sapphire glass is an ultimate choice.
With its excellent transparency and hardness, the windshield is not only scratch-resistant but also anti-reflective, not to mention a compelling domed shape that promises you a luxurious and classy vibe to your daily look.

Along with the high-class movement and a luxurious windshield, a colored case is adopted to complement the charm of lacquer even more.
Using the Ororu advancing color treatment, we have created a unique case that changes color depending on different lights and angles - the last perfect piece to complete our Dream Watch.
