This watch is inspired form the Japans most famous innovation of the Zero Fighter Plane which was made in the WW2. When it was introduced early in World War II, the Zero was considered the most capable carrier-based fighter in the world, combining excellent maneuverability and exceptionally long range. In early combat operations, the Zero gained a legendary reputation as a dogfighter, achieving the outstanding kill ratio of 12 to 1.
Based on the cockpit instruments of Zero Fighter, Cifra Z was designed.
Cifra means the number 0 which ultimately leads us to space where there is no end to time and also our dreams.
This leads us to space where the number 0 gravity is used a lot.
The philosophy of Cifra states that our life and dreams should be endless with no limitation the same as this watch
Single Hand Watch - The sound of one hand ticking
Single hand watches may appear unconventional or even strange to us nowadays, but in fact telling the time using just a single hand was the normal way when pocket watches were introduced in the early 16th century. Therefore, this Wancher single hand watch is continuing an age-old method of measuring time. By having a design that recalls the early timepieces, Wancher Cifra Z watches is imbued with a sense of classicism whilst drawing attention to the early origins of the watchmakers’ craft.
Time calculation
The center hand can indicate hour and minute. Each bar on the minute represents the 5 mins. So every minute the hand will move to its one place ahead and the inner numbers are of the Hours.
For example: if the hand is on the index 13th from 0 then it is 1 clock. If that hands move to the next index then it is 5 mins past 1 o'clock.
