Wancher Flugel inherits its design from the traditional Flieger watches which were traditionally used by pilots as a navigation instrument during flight for determining the precise position of the aircraft. Holding the essence of the true military watch in terms of robustness, precision, and legibility-the basic design of a classic pilot watch is incorporated into our brand-new pilot watch. For the first time by adopting a Hi-Beat 28800 automatic movement, higher accuracy was ensured for the watch. Furthermore, with an advanced processed dome-shaped sapphire crystal windshield, we have succeeded in bringing an overwhelming sense of luxury to the watch with a fuller, three-dimensional view of time.

A tribute to the historic pilot watches
Complete reliability, maximum precision, and excellent legibility from any angle and at any second are the features essential for survival in the days of civilian and military flying in the 1930s and 1940s, when courageous aviation pioneers wore them in the cockpit. Clarity of design and continuing tradition - the traits expected from a classic pilot watch are incorporated into our brand-new pilot watch to give you the ultimate experience.
Classic Pilot Dial and Hands
Inspired from the traditional timepieces the large size dial is made to be unambiguously legible and has a clearly structured black dial with white Arabic numerals to further ease the task of precise reading. Furthermore, with the Luminous hands and indexes to enhance visibility even in darkness, Wancher Flugel ticks another classic pilot watch feature.
A triangle with two dots indicator
The significance the twelve o’clock indicator to be marked with a triangle with two dots in pilot watches goes back in time. If you did not know, the triangle with two dots instead of twelve o’clock indicator in the differentiated from other numbers with a quick glance. The other reason was for pilots to quickly determine the upward orientation.
Japanese high-beat movement
This pilot's watch is powered by an automatic movement from the Japanese company MIYOTA. The mechanical Movement Miyota 9015 is known for its reliability. With a frequency of 28,800 A/h (vibrations per hour) the gear deviation is between -10 to +30 seconds per day. The power reserve is 42 hours.
